Html as text

Runbox 5 Enhanced:
Somehow HTML messges are displayed as text in my inbox folder.
Folder's preference "show HTML version" is marked.
Am I missing something?

Hi Oded,

I can see in our database that your "Inbox" folder is tagged with "show_html", so messages in "Inbox" should indeed display as html as long as they have an html part.

But I also see that you have a few folders that are not tagged with "show_html". Can you double-check that you are looking at messages in a folder with "Show html version" and that the messages have a html body?
If so, I will investigate the problem further.

Regards,
Christian

Christian,
I've just composed (using runbox 5 enhanced) an HTML message (subject: html test) and sent it to myself. I've used font size 7 underlined.
My inbox shows this messge in plain text.
Same goes for my "sent" folder.

Thanks,
Oded.

Try again now, it should work better!

I had to do a bit of debugging to find the problem. It turns out that your message was displayed as HTML, but with most of the CSS filtered out (eg. <span style="text-decoration: underline"> became <span style="">).

problems again

This isn't working again...
HTML messages (displayed correctly) which are forwarded to myself are displayed as text ones (namely the new received message).
Preferences are configured correctly.
Can someone help please?

Thanks,
Oded.

EDIT: So I've made this test: I've composed an HTML message writing just my name in a big red bold underlined font and sent it to myself.
I've opened the received message and it was displayed flawlessly!!
Then I've forwarded the message to myself (without changing anything) and this time the received message was displayed as text.
Doing exactly the same test with another email account worked flawlessly.
I can't figure out what is wrong

Hi Oded,

We've recently made some changes to HTML message handling to improve formatting when forwarding such messages. This might have had some side effects so we'll have another look at it!

Hi Geir,

So far this problem hasn't been solved.
This is very annoying.
I'd like to be able to forward HTML messages again

Thanks,

Oded.

Hi Geir,
I've tested this issue and it works! but:
The HTML message is displayed correctly only in the attachment.
The message's body displays text (if written in English) or gibrish (if written in Hebrew.)
Is there a way to display HTML inside the body without needing an attachment?

Thanks,

Oded.

EDIT: It does work (the Hebrew issue) using Runbox 4 classic but not with Runbox 5.
