[Postfix, Maildrop, Mysql and Courier-Imap] Problem with Thunderbird ?

Hello !

I'm setting up an email server on debian etch using Postfix, Maildrop and Courier-Imap with virtual user in a mysql database. It works fine but I have a problem with thunderbird clients.

When there is a new mail in INBOX it blinks like if it was constantly arriving, consequently the the imapd process consume an abnormal amount of resources and thunderbird is barely usable.

I set IMAP_ENHANCEDIDLE=1 in /etc/courier/imapd (i.e. imap server inform instantly the client when a new mail arrive, no checks every x minutes) but it can't explain the problem; if set to 0 the problem is still there, and with evolution mail client I do not experience such problem (either MAP_ENHANCEDIDLE=1 or =0)

I wonder if the problem comes from thunderbird or imapd.

Any idea to solve that?

Thank you.

I'd ask on a courier specific mail list.

No. Sorry. I'd look at the courier project's home page and see what they have to offer.
