Walla

Same here. Now the website is in Hebrew, but the inbox is still in English thankfully. However new sign ups seem to be no longer available in English though. The new changes also seem to have stabilized the inbox default font display settings, but HTML advanced compose is still slow to resolve. Walla is one of the few free mailboxes of its size that I have never had a spam problem with.

Cool

I can read Hebrew, but I'm not sure what your problem is. Also, I can hardly find anything on Walla; it seems to be the worst-designed entrance page to a portal I've ever seen. I can hardly find any contact information, which they seem to be purposely hiding. I find no reference to anything in English, so I suspect that they no longer have a full English registration or log-on page.

Communication with them seems to be by a form at http://help.walla.co.il/ts.cgi?tsscript=feedback/edit . Their Whois information is a little weird, as are most things done by the registrar for .il. The two email addresses given for communicating with Walla are:

"person" with no clear title: pilo AT teletel.co.il
"person: Unix Administrator: hostmaster AT barak.net.il

If you guys just want a login page with English captions on the form fields, try http://friends.walla.co.il/?tsscript...o.il/index.cgi .

Good luck.
David.

No, but if you happen to know French, I can write in (very bad) French, and I can read German, though I wouldn't try writing it. Have you tried running my post through a machine translator such as BabelFish?

Thanks.
David.

Of course I've heard of Guatemala!

Everybody has heard of every country these days.

In any case, I grew up in the United States, which isn't that far from Guatemala, I read a book about the Maya which mentions Guatemala quite a bit, and if I remember correctly, the mother-in-law of a friend of mine was born in Guatemala.

Thanks.
David.

Excelent!, you´re right, USA isn´t that far from my country. For me Guatemala = Maya, is more the really name of my country should be "Guatemaya", I up set when the Mexican people made only their the word Maya, because they have only one little place in their country with ruins, and their race don´t have characteristic indigenous. In many places of my country the people still wear, live and talk like many years ago. Well maybe you saw pictures of Tikal, this is the most majestic place, but here are a lot places like that. Sorry if I bored you. And sorry too, for my bad English!!!

Getting back to the walla language issue, do we know if they've completely abandoned the English login screen?

Does anyone know why they're doing this?

Question

Hello All,
I too still have an e-mail account @ walla mail, discontinuing the english version of it sure has made it much more difficult to use. It looks like they would offer the option of being able to choose english. All in all it seemed to be a decent service.
Thanks,
David
