Nostalgia

Is a funny thing. Strange how at times you feel really nostalgic, looking back at times gone past and realising what a great time you had!

A colleague/personal firend just left our company after 21 years; that made me feel a little sad.

I would say the days in the 80s and 90s is better. At least I have all the time in those days!

Yup much better than now!!!!!!!!

I dont like what the world has become....... I stay indoors almost all the time.......

In the 80s I could goto the mall and play good arcade games.... Now if any arcades are around all thats in them is trash!!

Its really sad.........

Past times were less worrisome. I wouldnt have to worry about walking to elementary school alone. I wouldnt have to worry about what chemicals are in my food. Granted, those worries probably should have been there. These days, the information is out there as to what we should fear. But is knowing more really better for us?

The funny part is that you didn't necessarily have a great time, but it looks better in retrospect.

Music makes me feel nostalgic. The music of my childhood and teenage years, that is. I had my teenage years in the nineties, which was the time dance music dominated charts around Europe. I won't claim it is good music, but the attached memories of those days when it felt like I had a whole life in front of me... makes me enjoy listening to it. Purely the trip down memory lane.

Ace of Base, Army of Lovers, Captain Jack, Gala, 2 Brothers on the 4th Floor, Whigfield, …

It felt like having a whole life ahead of me back then, so much time to realise all my plans and dreams, and yes there were worries but I was too young to understand most of the negative things happening. I won't claim these days were worryless, but still… Time flies.

Tell me about it. Where did the last 20 years go?

I also had my teenage years in the 90s. Rock, pop and hip hop were big in Canada. I was into grunge but got into dance/house music when I was old enough to get into clubs in the late 90s.

Half of the music I listen to is still from the 90s.
