New Blue Dot next to Reply All

Okay, there is a new dot, that turns blue when you click it, next to 'reply all'.

What is this???

Best guess is it is some type of flag for followup. It turns blue on the message list, and it goes away when I re-open the message again...

??!!?

Funny, I just noticed that today. Seems to be an 'unread' flag? easily clickable in the message viewer, without having to use the dropdown.

Do you mean this blue dot? http://i.imgur.com/WpADbDk.png

Because that one has been there since the first version of the current UI, years ago.

If not, please post a screenshot

It's an unread marker. Blue is unread, grey is read. Click it to change state.

It matches the similar blue dot in the message list.

Thanks, Rob! Don't know how I missed this.

This is not necessarily intuitive. I suggest there should be a "Mark Unread" text notification that pops up under your mouse when you hover over the blue dot.
