Mailcup.com going paid?

Although the Mailcup.com website shows nothing about this I received this second of two messages from the 'Mailcup Administrator" yesterday.

Subject: Mailcup L.E 2 per Month Final Notification

Dear Sir, Please note that Mailcup will be for a subscription of L.E 4 per Month.

Kindly contact IM on Telephone 19910 in order to pay the L.E 48 for the whole year in advance.

Kindly fullfill the payment before next week to ensure your mailcup account will remain active.

Thank you.
Mod: I have fixed the "live" email address to avoid spambots.

I wonder if it's a fake or something as it looks to be running on the Gawab platform which to me I thought offered such services for domains for free.

That was my thought too. There are several problems with this email, starting with the "Dear Sir". No mention of alternative currencies, and the unusual method of payment, apparently with only a local phone number.

Wouldn't dream of falling for this one.

Well, I've recieved no such message in my account set up recently, as I believe they operate on the Gawab system, it might be worthwhile contacting Gawab and asking them to pass a message onto the owner about this, and also they should be able to let you know if they are terminating the service with them as that should give you an idea where they are moving to if anywhere.

check out that email address.. does anyone actually use an email address that long for official business?

Does seem fake... does not read like an official business email...

I've still not received one, most interesting I do wonder then whether it's a spammer or fraudster faking the details and email address for the Manager who normally uses it but with no reply from Gawab directly over this it makes you wonder what's going on...

I received the same. It sounds like english pounds they want. Has anyone called that phone number given?
I also think its a hoax. By this time why has Gawab not realized this is being done.
Its very hard to find any information on Mailcup.
