DOT.TK domain DNS problem

Hi all:

I am the owner (sad owner) of a .tk domain. I am sad because this domain is giving me lot of headaches, with lots of mail lost (using the standard redirection offered by dot.tk).

So, I decided to transfer the domain to a new registrar ... but none of the registrars I have contacted, accept transfering of .tk domains (GoDaddy, Amen, Acens, ...).

After that, a contact of mine suggested to use Google Apps for your domain, and I asked Google to solve my problems. I signed for Google Apps and I tried to change my DNS's (MX records), redirecting them to Google Mail servers.

But, after more than one month (and lots of modifications), a Whois query and an email validation test (using centralops.net/co for example) shows that MX records remains directed to mx-host.dot.tk

I will love to redirect ALL my dot.tk domain to another DNS provider, but I cannot make any change (it seems to me) to these records.

Does anyone have any suggestion? I have more than 100 email addresses free to be used by my organization (with my own domain) but none of them seems to be working (but, occassionally, they receive the messages sent to them).

Thanks in advance.

How about using zonedit or mydomain to host your domain? There you can check and change your MX anytime easily.

Thanks for your reply, Killer.

I tried to use Zonedit, but it requires to change DNS servers in the original place where I have registered this domain and use the servers offered by Zonedit. Unfortunately, this place is dot.tk itself and I cannot change this configuration (I change it, but nothing happens)

Then it looks like you are at the mercy of the host of dot.tk. Maybe you should dump it and go for other better domains.

Thanks for your help. I finally get (do not ask me how ;-) ) to accept Zonedit.com DNS's and I am using (thanks to Zonedit.zom) Google Mail MX servers.

Just guessing, it seems that the propagation of the new configuration started but, at once point, there was a lot of DNS servers resolving the old addresses and, after that, propagation went in the opposite side: reassessing the old servers. Fortunately, it seems that everything is working right now.

I guess you have paid for your .TK domain then, because DotTK doesn't allow to move the domain to a different DNS when you use the free variant. ?
