Fastmail Webmail URL Changed?

I have a bookmark saved as: https://www.fastmail.com/login/.

However, when logging in today, I've noticed a change of URL to: https://app.fastmail.com/login/.

I have also noticed the redirect to app.fastmail.com. As far as I can see, it has no effect on functionality.

I use KeePassXC's browser integration to fill some of my passwords, and the browser extension wouldn't let me enter my Fastmail credentials because it didn't recognize the URL. It took me a moment to realize what the issue was. Of course, that was an easy fix and it was nice to see the extension's phishing protection works the way it is supposed to work.

I just tried, and both URLs work for me. I don't get redirected unless it happens after you login.

After you login, a URL redirect occurs. Further, if you have logged in using www.fastmail.com (redirected to app.fastmail.com) going to www.fastmail.com/login will immediately redirect. I have not checked, but I suspect clearing cookies might mean there is no redirect until you login again.

I use KeePass, and Keepass2Android on my phone. I have used KeePass for decades now. I use no browser integration add-ons, instead I use the program's Auto-Type feature. I just make sure the correct 'starting point' field has focus and have at it. Those types of add-ons wouldn't work with my browser anyway even if I didn't mind using add-ons that filled in fields for me automatically, without me starting the process.

Thanks for the Auto-Type tip. In my years of using KeePassXC I somehow missed that feature and am experimenting with it now. I would greatly prefer *not* using a browser extension if I can accomplish the same tasks without it.
