Agree. There are a few forums I use, simply because there is still useful information in them but there are tons of spam and trolls in them. A few I no longer frequent have been so over run with this they are no longer useful. In a lot of cases the admin or moderation team are no longer active or just left the forum. In the case of blogs, I am beginning to think it's pure laziness or they just don't care.

From Wikipedia. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_troll

Quote:
In Internet slang, a troll is a person who posts inflammatory, insincere, digressive,[1] extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community (such as social media (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc.), a newsgroup, forum, chat room, online video game, or blog), with the intent of provoking readers into displaying emotional responses,[2] or manipulating others' perception.
But, it is in the eye of the beholder to decide. I have been branded a troll when posting factual information on a topic that others in the forum just don't want to read.

Urban Dictionary: Spamming

https://www.urbandictionary.com/defi...?term=Spamming

Quote:
(Verb) The act if obnoxiously doing something repeatedly for attention or in order to disturb others.

Please quit spamming the forums with offsite links.
There's far too much posting of inane threads that have absolutely nothing to do with the purpose of this forum:
