Not favorites, but old standards:

I'm Gonna Sit Right Down and Write Myself A Letter

Love Letters In the Sand

And BTW, the Marvelettes recorded Please Mister Postman before the Beatles.

But..are there any e-mail songs? If not, there should be.

Would "P.S. I Love You" count? It starts off with "As I write this letter..."

The song "Please Mr. Postman" sung by the Carpenters...is it the same as the ones mentioned above?

The Marvelettes recording was in 1961 - it was Motown's first number 1 hit record.
