Problem with Outlook 2016 and Gmail

I am trying to understand a problem I have with Outlook 2016 and gmail. I have two email addresses for my doctor, a practice address at nhs.net and an inital.surname@nhs.net. I can send to either of these addresses from gmail but when I try and send to the inital.surname@nhs.net address from outlook the message gets bounced with "recipient cant be reached" with the following info "503 5.5.1 RCPT first. k16sm4985140wrh.24 - gsmtp"

Could anyone explain what is happening

Maybe this has something to do with it.
