Hmm..

That is indeed a good question.

But I don't think there was done. Maybe your thinking of the macy's day parade?

EDIT: The writer of Mary Had a Little Lamb firmly supported the day of thanksgiving become a holiday.

I have no idea Jeff,I have tried to think about it and all I came up with is

Marys lamb followed her everywhere and our families often follow us to thanksgiving but that isnt right
