Session Inactivity Timeout?
For the new 2FA login system, what is the session inactivity timeout duration before the sessions auto-terminates?
Thanks. |

No one knows?
Before I posted this thread, I searched both the FM Help pages and this forum for terms like "session", "inactivity", "timeout", combing through some specific threads in the process. No luck. Is this documented anywhere? |

The session timeout period used to be 2 hours, but this was a few years ago, and I cannot vouch for it not having been altered since.

Thanks for that, BritTim. Yeah, I seem to remember that figure from the good ol' days. I think there was also a 1-hr option as well.

With "keep me logged in" unchecked, it's two hours. Checked, it's 30 days.

Resurrecting this thread because I decided that 2 hours is a bit too short for me now, and I thought I should be able to set this timeout length, but search as I might, in the UI and also the help pages, I can't find any ref to being able to set it. Thot I would ask here before opening a ticket. Is this really not a user-settable thing?

(Wow, 6.5 years later!) I've never come across a user-setting for inactivity-timeout. Hmmm, I wonder if you could implement a kludgy workaround with a "keep-alive" kind of browser extension that pings the FM UI periodically. While we're on the topic, is the mobile browser inactivity timeout a little shorter than 2 hours? I feel like it may be 1.5 hrs -ish. |

Seems I recently hit my 20th anniversary on the forum... maybe I should go try to find something from 2003 to bring back
