If you need someone to translate this one to Dutch, you know where to find me Sounds like an interesting plugin!

This freeware application was recommended to us over at www.donationcoder.com. It is a "disc cleaner" and includes an option for cleaning up Firefox stuff. I have been using it and have found it fast and easy to use.

Those are pretty good lists ANJ !

The recent upgrade to AMDeadlink (2.7) available at
http://www.aignes.com/ has been a good and worthy enhancement. It can now check your bookmarks and add the available favicons to your browser's favourites folder. Even Firefox !

Pingplotter shows graphically the ping times to each router along the route to a server. It makes it easy to discover whether that server is down or slow, or whether there are routing issues along the way and if so, where. (I just had occasion to recommend this in another thread).

I love Pixel Ruler I've needed to measure screen pixels more than a few times lately. This one is free and you can make your ruler one of several cool colors. It measure's horizontally and vertically. Just the basics but does the job superbly. And freeeee!

Cool — I could have done with that recently, since I'm writing a Windows game (a remake, to be precise) and needed (having done careful mockups of what the game windows ought to look like) to carefully measure the screen metrics from those mockups. (I actually did this by copying each screen — excluding the background — and pasting it onto another image, consisting of red horizontal and vertical lines every 5 pixels, yellow every 10, green every 50 and blue every 200).

(See if you can find what remake I'm doing; to my surprise, a web search on "robert@fm" plus other relevant terms failed, but others may succeed in this...)

I think most graphics applications display the dimensions of the selection somewhere such as in the status bar (MS Photo editor does. MS Paint does) so you can use the selection tool as a measuring ruler.

^ What I actually needed to do was to measure the XY offset of each screen element from the top-left of the screen...

^ Yep.

In related research (I originally wanted to buy a replacement for my 4x4x4, if they're still to be had in the UK — and now that the same research has shown me that there was/is also a 5x5x5(), I want one of those as well), I've rediscovered this funny page.
