where are the rules?

All what I get after "start" is : "Thank you for playing" and "Game over". Tried to press on stars, on these words etc - nothing happens. What is the aim?

Sakura, I think it is done in macromedia so perhaps you don't have flash or the required software installed? When you click to start, it should start dropping some words from the top which you must type before they fall to the bottom of the screen. You are given 5(?) hearts for mistakes. Once you lose all your hearts, the game is over. You get 100(?) points for each word you type correctly.

Killer, I wasn't even lasting a few minutes at first.

It is a good game if you can type reasonably well, but are not a perfect typist. In order to keep playing, you have to stay focused on the words and not let your mind wander. So for a few minutes, you totally focus on something else besides your work. It is a good diversion for clearing your mind.

That's a neat game. The best I could get is 4900. The words come too fast and they hit the ground and I lose. :-D

Gankaku, Much better than I could do after SEVERAL tries!

Sakura, no rules. You type what the bubble have. The first 3 bubbles are "thank" "you" "for" "playing"........

Thank you, Killer! Thank you, anj !

I should have guessed that.
The game is very nice.

Hey, you're the top scorer so far!

I'm nowhere near getting on the top scorer board at all.:D

Fahd 20 Dec 2003 03:29 AM

Yeah, but someone else on here scored 4900 on his/her first try! I reached that only on my second, so I'd have to say he/she is better! :D

Hey everyone,

You can actually download a much nicer version of the Shark Typer game, it's really fun and it's very good for practicing. Even someone who can type fairly well (like me) can find this game challenging enough. It's got a Typing Tutor as well, to help you improve your statistics. My main weakness for example is my accuracy, I can type fairly quickly (up to 60 WPM) but my problem lies in having to backspace a lot, resulting in a decreased performance. Shark Typer offers several 'lessons' which you can use to compensate for such things...

The Trial version is rather limited, but the Fully registered one is VERY nice :)

I'm much the same, although I can only type at 45 - 50 words per minuet. I should try and improve my accuracy, however every time I do a typing test I don't seem to go that well.

Cheers,
dan
