Arrow Thread creation seems to be steady in past year

I was curious about whether this was really true, so I examined the number of new threads per month in each of the three Fastmail forums in the past two months (your suggested slowdown interval) and the past year.

General Discussions Forum:
  • In the past two months: 33 new threads/month
  • In the past year: 28 new threads/month
Help and Current Issues Forum:
  • In the past two months: 55 new threads/month
  • In the past year: 66 new threads/month
Feature Requests Forum:
  • In the past two months: 11 new threads/month
  • In the past year: 11 new threads/month
Combined Fastmail Forums:
  • In the past two months: 99 new threads/month
  • In the past year: 105 new threads/month
So as far as I can determine, the rate of new threads created at Fastmail forums has remained remarkably constant in the past year. The thread discussing Fastmail being acquired by Opera has had over 580 replies and over 38,500 views so far. Many other Fastmail threads have over 900 views.

Interesting, Bill. My perception must be askew for some reason. Perhaps it's because I'm checking the board more after the Opera acquisition.

The numbers do support combining the forums, since 3 threads/day is low activity for one forum, much less for three.

not much point anymore as there is no f/m participation on any of the forums they all seem to have died a couple of years ago when they did the spit.

I use to look forward to coming on here every night and over the years I had so much help from everyone....I do look now and then but it needs something to make it interesting again, perhaps they could build a new UI or make up a few new style sheets? or bring out something new we could all test....or perhaps they could give us a little inside info to what is happening?
I honestly feel without f/m participation the forum it will eventually die along with was was once an excellent fastmail service.

Terry, have you been keeping up with the Fastmail Blog? There have been quite a few posts this year about new things going on.

If the FM reps have all died, that would explain why they don't participate much anymore. It must be hard to use a keyboard if your fingers are translucent and keep sinking through it.
