Don't see anything wrong in Fastmail being renamed - it is for Opera to decide.

However Fastmail domains should be retained. Also Opera should buy fastmail..com as a gift for
all old users.

Short story - we don't know. It involves contract negotiations with the current provider.

Nothing to fear about change. I wouldn't mind changing my login name. I never use the fastmail email address anyway, because people always ask me, What the heck is a ".fm?"

Most people know what a "net" is. We have fastmail.net.

I use one of the other domains myself...

However, it is still confusing when people ask what domain I use to host my email...

It's still Fastmail. It's just now owned by Opera instead of self-owned -- Opera know about brand value.

Heh. Me neither. I wonder how many people actually use fastmail addresses? I use my account for e-mail consolidation from different accounts. I think I probably get one or two e-mails a year to my @fastmail.fm account, and that's from admins.

Fastmail has many dozens of domains. I use sent.com, mm.st (very short), and eml.cc domains all the time.

Curious.
Do the recipients ever question the ccTLD that you use?
