Question Verizon wireless email

I've just activated a Verizon wireless phone acct. I would like to set up the phone to access my nospammail.net acct from the phone. I've read the info on SMTP, POP and IMAP. I'm confused because it seems to say I should really set things up with my service provider.

I use comcast cable for email at my home PC. But what do I use to set things up on my phone?

Thanks for any help in clarification.

I can probably help, but I need more information:

1) What model of phone? Does the phone actually have a mail client, or are you attempting to set up access through the mobile web? If indeed the phone has an internal client it's as simple as entering the appropriate settings for your account, which is a derivative of Fastmail, so I would almost assume (but I would double check) the settings would be as follows:

IMAP (receiving): mail.messagingengine.com
Username: yourusername@nospammail.net

If the phone has PUSH, you will need to set the interval that it downloads new messages.

You could probably program your Comcast account as well if the client will poll more than one account, but most likely only one can be active at a time.
My SonyEricsson will hold 10 accounts, but only one can be active at a time in regards to PUSH.

Any phone company will tell you to set things up with your provider, but it is entirely up to the user to know how to program any third-party account.

If you need further assistance, feel free to hit back...
