Lightbulb Add an email module for Netvibes

I have seen that Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail and others can be accessed from inside Netvibes I think it is a cool feature.

I do not know how difficult it is or how long it can take to build a module for it, even if few people in Fastmail use Netvibes I think it could be useful to promote Fastmail between the users of this dynamic website as it is more likely for us to use a mail service that integrates neatly with it.

If you think it is a good idea the place and programmers instructions to add this module is here: Ecosystem Netvibes

Arrow

You can connect to FM IMAP server using their email fetcher, PopMail. The name is PopMail but it lets you access an IMAP server. Or are you asking for a branded module that can do more (like flagging or deleting messages)?

On another note, netvibes is nice but using AJAX for the login window is too much. I prefer using autofill to typing.

To know what I am asking for exactly look at the page, left hand side column, look at where it says "mail", then look at where it says "Gmail", and then click on it.

If you want to use it with Fastmail, the one you should click is "Mail" module, not "Gmail".

I know what the "Gmail" module does. It fetches messages from your Gmail account via POP3. It does nothing special other than displaying the Gmail logo on the module.

I did not know that, thanks for telling, after all now I realise there is no really need for a module as showing the Fastmail the logo or not it is irrelevant as long as it works.

So, for the developers, forget my suggestion, and feel free to delete the thread.
