Disaster Recovery
I was wondering if fastmail has disaster recovery plans -- like a redundant server set up in another location, or something...I was thinking about that and was just curious....God forbid - earthquake or fire Are there plans for such a thing in the future??

I am pretty sure that Jeremy said they do nightly backups. They have their main server in Texas, but they do have a backup server. The backup server is in Europe, but I am not exactly sure where in Europe. I would think that they have some sort of plans for this.

I bet it won't have to be used for the most part. I think Rackspace is really reliable and they wouldn't let anything bad happen, that they could prevent. Safety first though.

Right Stinger...hope it never has to be used! But you never know......isn't there a saying somewheres along those lines- something like "think positive but be prepared?" well that's the gist of it but it's eloquent, unlike my writing.

I never knew that was an old saying. I've heard sayings like it, but not exactly that. I still think its cool.
