Written properly, the features would be written once and available in both interfaces. Web development best practices generally dictate that pages should be written for the lowest common denominator (HTML/HTML5), then layered with JavaScript/AJAX for additional functionality. That allows the same page to work on older equipment, JS-challenged/disabled browsers, and browsers for the vision-impaired.

I have not found the new interface to be an improvement. I continue to use the classic interface exclusively.
It would be a great help if there were a settings option that would allow you to set your preference to always use the classic interface. Then I wouldn't need to make that extra click to indicate that I want to use the classic interface every time I log in to the website. |

Neil has investigated my ticket regarding the incorrect rendering when using Opera with a zoom level other than 100%, and he says that these are rendering bugs in Opera that will be e resolved in the next version of Opera following its switch to Chromium/WebKit as the basis for its rendering engine.
This is good to know, but I do remain concerned about the long term future FM's more powerful "classic" interface. |

Liked old interface
I still go back and use the old interface sometimes.
I find I can't do quickly what I wanted to do in the "new" interface. New interface is cumbersome................... Old interface was heaps better. |

Email marker
I'm using the new UI mostly these days. Rarely visit the Classic any more.
One thing I find indistinct is the email marker in the email list screen. It's a thin light blue marker, and when using preview mode, and scrolling through emails, I have to look hard to see which email I'm on. A more prominent marker would be nice. http://www.mediafire.com/convkey/354...zgtyb3r46g.jpg |

No workaround for adding sender to contacts?
I have looked everywhere I can, but the one function that most often causes me to momentarily log out of the new interface and into the old one is the ability to quickly add a Sender to Contacts, so emails don't get thrown into Spam. I often miss the ability to delete a message and move to the next older/newer one with a single click, but not enough to keep me in the old interface. I mainly appreciate the auto-delivery/refresh in the new interface.

Add Sender to Address Book
Quote:
* clicking "Show Details" in the header area. * then left click the email address you want to add to Address Book * dialogue box pops up which allows you to add that contact. |

That's cool, thanks.
Now if you could only solve the case of the missing "Delete and Next" and "Delete and Previous" buttons, I could die happy.
