Nuevasync iPhone battery savings?

I'm intrigued by the Nuevasync service to get EAS on my iPhone 6 with iOS 8.1. Can any users of Nuevasync tell me how much battery life they are saving vs. using Fastmail imap on the iPhone? I get a lot of email and set my Fastmail accounts in the iOS mail app to fetch every 15 minutes. I think the annual $30 would be worth it if I can get better battery life on my iPhone and get my mail almost instantly.
