Turn on/off threading within a message

I don't use threaded "conversation view" but occasionally I'd love to be able to click "show conversation" and have all the emails related to the one I'm looking at show up in a 'conversation' view. I know there is a toggle for the entire interface, but it would be great to be able to flip it on for a single message while in the message view.

I do not use that feature very often, and Yahoo's way of doing it (recently pushed at us as a default) is awful, though globally toggle-able.

However I DID notice that in ZOHO (which I have been evaluating since August), you can do exactly what was suggested here, with an icon being offered next to any post which the system notices is a candidate, and when you click on it, that post alone will open into threaded view.
