Our wish list for 2019-2020

We would like to preview attachments without down loading them, like you can using outlook
The settings button to be put in the main task bar
Log out button also in the task bar
A few new themes would be nice

Oh, one more thing: It is possible to display additional headers in the email detail (as defined in: Settings > Preferences > Section "Reading"). The downside is that all those extra headers also will be printed!

So, it should be possible to exclude some or all extra headers from printing.

A native app (instead of a web wrapper) with offline functionality.

I wish the iOS app wouldn't jump up when editing notes. Just leave me where I end up when in the editor.

Little update F/m regarding the preview of attachments.

I've now created a feature request for this in our internal project management software. I'll let you know what happens to it.

One thing I would like to have is that after I click "Reply" the compose screen will have a function (say in the "more" menu) to "reply all", because too often I click "Reply" and then realize I wanted to also include the other recipients. Currently what I need to do is to discard the message and restart with "reply all" (of course I can first copy whatever I already wrote and than paste it back in).

A similar thing I'd like to have is that when I am replying and I choose an identity with an editable "From" header it would be filled with the address that the email I am replying was sent to. Currently I have to remember to copy that address before I click "reply" so I can later paste it into the "from" field.

Also I would like to be able, from within the compose screen, to designate a folder where the composed email would be saved, overriding the folder designated by the identity used (and if it is a reply, to also be able to choose to file both the received message and the reply in this designated folder). currently after replying I have to do manual searching and moving of the two messages and I prefer to be done with dealing with an issue when I click send on a reply.

I'd like Setttings -> Folder to let me set, for each folder, whether the contents are displayed as single messages, or "as discussions". Ideally there'd also be a choice to see proper threading in the "discussions" groupings.

It would be good if one could also set that from within the view of a specific folder.

Optionally use labels instead of folders. I know that labels won’t appeal to everybody and also I'm aware of the drawbacks when it comes to IMAP compatibility. But as I use the FM web interface or the FM app most of the time, I would clearly prefer having labels for managing my emails.

I use saved searches in preference to some folders, it works well for my needs.

The ability to set expiry dates on app-specific passwords with a further option to have expiry reminders sent 21 and 7 days before and a straightforward refresh / extend facility.

Why? To limit exposure from the undiscovered loss of a device that may have no or weak additional layers of protection.
