Two factor authentication disaster
I enabled two factor authentication without enabling timed one time passwords and the login screen to webmail demanded a time one time password! I eventually figured out that if I selected "one time password" as a login method I could use a one time password in addition to my login password to login. I had saved a bunch of one time passwords on a previous login.
The system has changed so that the problem is not currently reproducible. If two factor authentication is to work, there needs to be a second factor on the default login dialog. This is typically an SMS (text) message to a cell phone, and the feature was not available. Last edited by dlnewhouse : 13 Jun 2017 at 03:27 AM. |
