Well, if Google made at least two entries in their official blog about Wave being scrapped
http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2010/...ogle-wave.html
http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2011/...of-season.html
what's wrong with repeating this information here?

Personally, I like Google Voice. It provides a local telephone number and voice mail with "do not disturb" functionality so that I never have to be bothered....ever.

Forget Google.

Why invest any time with google services ? They discontinue services like notebook and public bookmarks on a whim.
I won't waste any time with google services because I assume the services I want won't be around very long. They don't have a very good track record, in my opinion. I use their search engine and nothing more than that.

Well, they paid $50 million for GrandCentral (now Google Voice), so I don't see that going away and I use Google Docs/Google Reader for RSS feeds. I never even heard of or used any of the services going away, except for Google Desktop. I still use Outlook 2007 which Google Desktop can index for searching, so I'm keeping the executable so I can re-install as necessary.

Zoho Docs

I fiind zoho docs a superior product to google docs -- there are more options and more flexibility.

Oh, there use to be "google pages" that you could create, like web pages. They discontinued that, too. Then they went to "google sites". They said they would convert your "google pages" to your "google sites" account.

It never happened for me.
