No forward button in Chrome

I have reported previously that I had no forward button in the classic interface when using Google Chrome (on Windows 7); it was suggested that I reinstall Chrome. I have now done so, without result.

With Firefox: forward button is ok, on top of screen
With Google Chrome:
Classic interface: no forward button
New Interface: forward button is at the bottom of the message.

I am using a very few extensions, including lastpass, and disabling all of them makes no difference.

Do you mean the forward button in the message display screen? (Reply.. Reply to All, Forward...)
I see no difference between FF & Chrome, Win7, classic FM interface: all these buttons are in the same place.

Windows 7, Chrome 23 (latest stable as of today), classic interface. I can see the "Forward" button right at the top of the message screen, next to "Reply" and "Reply All".

Have you tried emptying the cache? Go to Settings, click on "Show advanced settings" at the bottom of the screen, click on "Clear browsing data" under the "Privacy" section, and empty the cache. It's possible that an old version of Fastmail's scripts or stylesheets are cached by your browser, causing distortions in the classic interface.

I have the same problem

I'm running Chrome 3.0.1271.97 (current version). I see no Forward button. I emptied the cache and cookies. Restarted Chrome. Still no Forward button.

I use IE9 and the Forward button is there.

Win 7 (64-bit)

Yes, I mean the forward button, as in Reply, Reply All, Forward message button.

I'm running Chrome Version 23.0.1271.97 m on Windows 7 64bit. I have emptied my cache. I still have no forward button. I do have one in Firefox.

It seems it's not just me.

It's not just no 'forward' button. The 'Add to pool using new details' button is also missing from the change billing information screen -- using Chrome.

OK using Firefox.

What style sheet are you using and are you using a custom style sheet?

You are on to something.

FWIW - I'm using Chrome and the Classic Style sheet. I have no Forward button.

I changed to the Concise style sheet and I now HAVE a Forward button.

My style sheet was Standard. Changing to Classic or Concise made no difference.

Something strange is going on

I saw the post from PON about changing the style sheet not making any difference, so I double checked. Overnight FastMail made a change (that is the only thing that makes sense).

I DIDN'T have a Forward button AND my style sheet was set to Standard. It was Concise yesterday.

I then changed to Concise and I got something that was totally different than when I changed it before. I now got something that was totally different (and ugly) with yellow banners AND NO Forward button!

It's more likely there's something screwed up with your system/browser because the behavior you're describing doesn't make sense.

Try saving the web page with the missing forward button (control-S) and then opening the resulting file in another browser. I'd be curious to see if the forward button appears there.

Interesting! I tried this and didn't know what to expect.

I saved a message screen, as a Complete Web Page, in Chrome and then opened it in IE. Sure enough, the Forward button was there in the saved web page!

Very good detective work!

I needed to clear cache, etc. and see what happened. I went to Settings > Advanced Settings: Clear browsing data. I checked every box and selected "since the beginning of time". I closed Chrome and then reopened it. Went into Fastmail. Guess what - still NO Forward button!

Then I restarted the system (I'm on Win 7 64-bit), cleared all the browsing data, did another restart of the system, and guess what - I have a Forward button! Thanks!!!

I am also using Windows 7 64bit edition.

I have cleared my browser cache completely and restarted my system TWICE and have, in addition, disabled the few extensions I use

Lastpass, Diigo, Clearly, Adblock Plus, Email this page (by Google)

with no effect. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled Chrome and run Ccleaner, fixing any registry issues as well as deleting cookies and temporary files, all with no effect.

Indeed. I'm using Chrome all the time and I have no problems. On PON's screenshot http://i.imgur.com/dB6fg.png also the Do button (on the right, next to the dropdown box) seems to be missing.
