Request: ?username=

Just politely requesting the restoration of the ?username= URL query string parameter that used to work for populating login fields before the login page was segregated out recently. (There was also a password param I think, but I never used it.)

This parameter was particularly helpful to pre-enter my username on my mobile web login to reduce the amount of tapping/copying/pasting every time I login.

Thanks.

I'm surprised there aren't more follow-up comments on this thread, as I would imagine a lot of FastMail users check their email on their mobile device.

Do the overwhelming majority of them perhaps use an email client and IMAP connection, with stored credentials, instead of the mobile web login? If so, perhaps that explains the lack of interest in this URL parameter feature.

Not expressing the majority view, but my personal opinion: I've never used mobile web login. It's either IMAP on my mobile devices, or full website on the desktop,

Most of them use the apps, which keep you logged in.

Most of them don't read this forum

I use mainly the app on my phone.
Sometimes I use the webmail (classic) client to compose emil on my phone. The phone's keyboard app's "autocomplete" seem to have learned my email address so I rarely need to type more than 3 letters.

Good point. I'll have to give that a try. And/or check for a macro/pasting app or something like that.
