Does Mail.com send out "come back to us" emails?

Or is that some scammers pretending to be an official mail?

Now when them are so intimately related to GMX? why would them need to send out

Come back to us emails?

GMX does not do such and I ahve not used them either for the same long period.
Poor email providers. So few use them that them have to chase users?

I received the following message to the alternate email for my lone existing mail.com account today. As far as I can tell, it's legitimate. I assume they're sending it to inform their older mail.com users of the migration to GMX, and of course, for adverising purposes -- which I assume we've likely agreed to in their TOS.

Just what I needed -- a third useless GMX account. But then, I haven't made any use of the mail.com address for many years anyway, since it has been a long time since that service/domain was in competent hands. (Although the short time it was with AOL was probably the most competently it was being handled in at least close to a decade.)

Mail.com

Mail.com wants new and old users so they can shove inbox ads in their faces, just like AOL did. I use Ad Block Plus anyway, so I don't see that much. As for winning an iPad 2, without flash, it ain't doing me any good. I just want my old circa 1999 Mail.com account back even at the reduced storage, please.

I have recieve an email as well recently but the weird thing is that i have already reactivated my old account some weeks earlier!

Unless they have quick kick offs due to lack of usage?
