LeisureSuit Larry was a role play game on the Amiga shortly after it first came out.
There were loads of them and Larry got to do whatever he wanted and engage in all sorts of anti social behaviour. I cant remember them that well but thought it was a cool name and one that might remind some people of the good old days. Sadly there is one character too few to get the whole name in so i had to go with only one 'r' Larry |

There were PC versions of those games too, although I've never been into games. (The only game I ever bought from that era was Lemmings.) Anyway, I thought that was probably where the name originated. It's nice when someone else remembers the same things. BTW, I never noticed the missing "r," LOL. Best wishes, David P. |

The explanation for my user name is very simple: I like ducks (the reason behind that is a long story which I won't bore you with ) and I am a mother of two beautiful sons. So there's the combination "mammaduck".

My user name
I'm "pne" nearly everywhere... it was my login at the first job I got. Formed from first letter of my first name, first two letters of my last name. Nearly all IDs in the company were generated using that scheme, though alternatives such as first two from first name and first from last name were used when the ID clashed with another existing one.
I use a different name for my Fastmail address, though, because of the name length restriction. Otherwise it'd probably be "pne" there, too. Last edited by pne : 8 Jul 2003 at 12:50 AM. |
