I plead guilty to many Heinous SINS, in that once I was guilty of placing glass jam jars in my trash. I did however make sure that they were well packed, so as no one would get injured.

And I will continue the SONG encouraging others to recycle. In most medium and large cities in the US we are encouraged to recycle by separating our trash. In my city we place paper, glass, and approved plastics into blue recycling bags and fold cardboard boxes flat for a weekly special pickup from each house.

Recycling may provide some benefits in the LONG term, but at the moment it means more expensive rubbish disposal.
