I'm vegetarian trying to eat vegan when I can (I avoid butter and cheese for example), so my pizza examples are limited.

There's basically two options: the Pizza Margherita but without cheese (most pizza restaurats I've visited were happy to leave off the cheese) or the Pizza Vegetariana without cheese (which is slightly more diverse because instead of just tomato sauce you also get some peppers, onions, mushrooms, sweetcorn etc on the pizza)

I have been in pizza restaurants that had neither of both on the menu, and I just asked the waiter if they could prepare me a vegan pizza. The result was the pizza bread with only tomato sauce on it. I still appreciated they made the effort to make me a pizza that was not even on their menu.

Generally, I lean mostly to Asian cuisine, as that in general is most vegetarian-friendly (and super tasty!). This can vary from a Lebanese tabouleh salad or hummus dish, a noodle dish with tofu and vegetables, a Thai curry with vegetables and tofu, and most of all the Indian cuisine is excellent for vegetarians. I cannot resist dal tarka, chana alu, chana masala, or malai kofta

LOL.

I'm still liking thin-crust plain, but sometimes with mushrooms.

Has anyone tried pizzas from the grocery stores? The only one I've really liked was from Aldi's. I forget the brand since they only have it maybe, once a year...it's a spinach feta. That was even better than most of the pizza shop pizzas.

I can honestly say I've never ordered a pizza for delivery or takeaway in the UK!

I don't really like that stringy cheese (mozzarella?) and I have memories as a youngster of greedy eating quickly followed by the roof of my mouth being burned!

Nowadays it's just occasionally a pizza from the supermarket, frozen section. I prefer a thin crust "Meat Feast" with a slight drizzle of sweet chili sauce for extra tang!

ha you sound like me. I'm impatient and always burn the roof of my mouth. But after so many years, I got burnt pretty bad one time and my husband asked my why I can't wait?! So I try to leave it to cool for 5-10 minutes.

Speaking of stringy, when you burn the roof of your mouth the skin peels away in strings.....hanging down. You have to let them be, or regret it!
