Mozilla 1.3

I have just started using Mozilla 1.3 after having used Netscape 7.01 or 7.02 for a bit.

1.3 seems quite smooth - I abandonned 1.2 because of IMAP email bugs.

Is the Spellchecker now integeral to 1.3?
I haven't downloaded it separately, but it is there. Could Mozilla be picking up a previous download or using MySpell from Star Office?

The Mozilla spellchecker info is here:
http://spellchecker.mozdev.org/

I installed mine from www.mozcafe.com (I use Windows XP / Mozilla 1.3)

I abandoned it for the same reason, but the bugs were never corrected even in Mozilla 1.3 version.

Eg: The root folder path "INBOX." only displays the folders correctly. When you try to access them, you get a "The mail server responded Invalid Mailbox” error as discussed in this thread with regard to Mozilla 1.3 version.

I'm wondering what most peoples motivation is to use Mozilla. I've tried it, and it seems inferior to IE.

I think the choice between IE6 and the Mozilla/Netscape Browser is very close.
Mozilla has some nice features and some irritations.

I use Mozilla because of the email client - it is one of the best free IMAP clients available.

Tabbed browsing??
Blocking images from certain servers?
No annoying popups anymore,

I could give you 100 more reasons why I think Mozilla is a better browser than IE6, but these are the main 3.

Popups, images, and cookies can all be restricted through IE, too.

It seems to be a matter of taste. Personally, I think Opera is the best.

Uhh, how 'bout not making this another OT "which browser I prefer" thread please? How it relates to FastMail is cool, of course.

I'd imagine that a significant number of users access their FastMail accounts through the web interface via a browser. I'm not certain how this WOULDN'T be pertanant to a FM forum.

If you are not a big fan of Mozilla the reason to use it sits on the email client alone. Much better than OE, IMO.

Okay, I use the Internet to access FastMail so I can feel free to start a general discussion about the Internet topics here?

How does labarum' original post specifically relate to FastMail? My point is that this thread is a more general topic that belongs on some provider-unspecific forum.
