Location of single email?

Hi --
How do I find where an email is being stored, as in a folder or otherwise?

Here's what's happening:

-I'm getting email from a friend.
-Those email are not showing up in inbox, so far as I can tell.
-A search for the sender's email address digs them up.
-I cannot find a rule that would be sending these emails anywhere.

Is there a way I can determine where these emails are ending up so that I can do some further sleuthing?

Is there a way to see an email's storage path?

Thanks.

Using the standard (new) web interface search for the email (s). Once found it will show you which folder it is in (to the right hand side just under the date and size of the email).

When you do a search, the folder name of each message appears to the right hand side.

Are those messages showing up in your Spam folder?

Is the sender using plus+addressing or subdomain addressing (such as account+foldername@fastmail.com or foldername@account.fastmail.com)? This will cause automatic filing into the foldername folder.
