More importantly: how will it behave with respect to searches?

I use Gmail for work. When I do a search, it shows me the results. I click on one, see if it's what I need, then I can hit a UI-defined "back" button that takes me back to the search results. I can keep going through the search results to find what I need. When I'm finished, I can then go back to my inbox or wherever else I decide I want to go.

I would love to have that same functionality in Runbox. Right now, though, if I search and click on an item in the results, the only place I can go back to is my mailbox--not my search results. This makes poking through search results extremely painful, and realistically impossible.

Will the new web interface address this?

The browser's "back" button does the trick.

Would love to know a rough timetable of the new interface... and also perhaps some of the design elements or features that are part of the plan... :-) Any chance there will be a beta?

I don't want a timetable but it would be really nice if you guys shared some prototype images of the new web interface from time to time. If not, that's fine too.

I asked the question on Twitter and Runbox replied:

@EMDiscussions Our new super-fast webmail is built with #AngularJS and most of the basic functionality is done. We're polishing the UI and planning a beta.

Thanks for the interest in our new webmail.

It includes extremely fast, incremental search functionality, conversation threading, and message previews -- therefore you won't need to go back in your browser to see other matches.

We'll post more in the near future.

Is there going to be a dark theme? When can we expect a beta?

This might be what makes me move from my current provider back to Runbox (the only thing keeping me back is your webclient)
