Hello, FastMail users. Just curious if anyone knows of a hack to snooze emails or set reminders like Inbox for Gmail?

Thanks!!!

Have not used it, but the design of followupthen.com looks pretty good. Note that this should not be used with confidential emails.

Not sure what you mean--the Fastmail appointment calendar can send you an email at the time you schedule, but maybe that's not what you want. I'm not familiar with the gmail feature.

Thanks for the suggestion, BritTim. I am not familiar with the service, but looks interesting. I get the "confidential" concern. All of the 3rd party Gmail solutions must work similarly with a second server. Inbox by Gmail's snooze feature is very useful. Thanks for the tip!!

Hi,

having "snooze" support via fastmail would indeed be great (and a bonus point if this feature could be used via thunderbird as well).

I could e.g. imagine that moving emails to a folder "Delayed/1hr" (or tag it in some way) would make the email automatically reappear in the original folder (marked as unread). Some sieve scripts that are run nightly would probably already be sufficient (and if they are just run on specific folders this would probably also not be too costly).

imap-snooze.py

Dear all,

I wrote myself a small script that uses imap to implement snooze for fastmail:

https://github.com/tobig/imap-snooze

It is very basic, but could be used as temporary solution until fastmail provides their own solution. Pull requests to improve the scripte are very welcome.

Best,
Tobias
