EuMX Horde - search broken?

Is search working in the EuMX's Horde interface? Whatever search option I try (From, Recipients, Subject etc) the result is "nothing found". Am I missing something silly, or is the search really useless??

I just tried it searching the entire message for a single word and it worked fine. As far as I can see you need to specify the folder being searched (in my case, "Archive"). Specifying an empty folder would yield the results you got. Could it be you didn't specify a folder with content?

I suspect the folder selection is the issue here....

Test case: I display my inbox and search entire message for CCC (see here). The result is "no messages".

OTOH, if I do advanced search and specify Inbox (or all mailboxes), the result is as expected. But this is silly - what's the purpose of the 'ordinary" search box?

I tested my inbox just now (regular search as you did; not advanced) and my search results were as they should be. No issues.

Problem has gone away... Why? Why it was there in the first place?

Did Horde's "maintenance" at login run between your problem and the resolution? I don't know if that might have done something.

For the record that makes seven confused-smilies used so far in this seven-post thread.
