Auto-purge doesn't in TRASH

The auto-purge function in my TRASH folder is on strike. It's set to permanently delete unpinned stuff after 3 days. There are unpinned, read messages in it now from the first week in February. I know this is not a crisis but if the functions are offered I expect them to work... (yes..."SAVE" was clicked)

Were the messages received in the first week of February or moved to trash in the first week of February? Auto-purge works based on the length of time the message is in the folder, not how long the message has been in the system as a whole.

Most of the page of trash folder contents should be gone in 3 days!
