How to properly *edit* Thunderbird settings from messagingenine.com

So the instructions at https://www.fastmail.com/help/client...tml?u=319f41ae are good for setting up an account with FM.

However, I have a pre-app-password thunderbird install with many thousands of messages already downloaded. So, I'm trying to figure out how to edit the settings in Thunderbird without messing up my current install.

How would I do this please? TIA for any help!

Thanks Terry,

IDK, my concern would be that the big email database would be tied to original account entry, and couldn't be ported over without generating havoc..? Perhaps this is misplaced.

Can you not just delete the currently saved password for that account?

Scroll down to remove saved password . . .

Thanks Fred,

While those instructions don't assume an existing Thunderbird install, I was able to do something similar in the tools tab of TB, and it *appears* to have worked just fine. Thanks for the suggestion.

Will report back if there are any other issues.
