I can't find any description of pricing anywhere on their slick-looking website. Sorry, but I will not even consider any service that doesn't provide upfront and detailed pricing information. Lack of it smells like a scam.

Sure, but no information on what you get for the free account, and what are the paid tiers? I'm not going to register for anything to find out pricing, period.

They are certainly very weak at letting you know what you're getting. They seem hardly off the ground in terms of development.
The 'personal vault' for files in the free account is 500MB; they do not say what the storage limit is for mail. There is no pricing for paid options and the option to upgrade does not yet even exist. I'd like to see them mature a bit before using them for anything serious. |

https://www.safeswiss.com/contacts mentions "Our current freemium model will allow us to keep the SafeSwiss Private Messaging App entirely free. SafeSwiss will also introduce SafeSwiss premium and SafeSwiss business-plus versions - available as in-app purchases. These will provide video conferencing and the ability to encrypt and share very large files."
* They don't appear to support using third party email clients. * They have a message self-destruction feature (which implies a recipient never really gets a copy of a message, you're just looking at a remote image of a message stored on their server). * They claim you can "Send encrypted end-to-end messages to external email service providers" but don't mention any standards such as PGP, S/MIME etc.. * No mention of spam detection/handling at all. Not my cup of tea. |

I like sites to have EVERYTHING up front, including the location of the company, the activity requirements, etc.

I found this older thread on Safe Swiss, but the link is just to an app.
And I see complaints about not enough information up front. |
