Pobox and Skiff go away what’s the next?
Pobox not accepts new clients.
Skiff shutdown soon. What’s the next one? OnMail, PrivateMail, purelyMail? Maybe email industry is a bad business now. |

I suspect there will be more shakeout in the email provider business, especially now that interest rates are so much higher. My guess is that Fastmail will just absorb POBox and move everyone to one infrastructure. Surprised they didn't do it before now. I suspect that the end-to-end encryption services may have hit a ceiling in terms of growth, which is why you see Proton expanding their offerings in all directions. Plus, I imagine new privacy regulations will make it more difficult for any larger provider.

My guess is the smaller and not well known email provider will be next, eg. OnMail. Not saying purelymail can survive any longer.

As long as disroot.org keeps running, it's a good service.

Sorry to hear this about Skiff.
