Gmail gives three different times for one message
On the message list, hovering over one message's date shows time 19:20.
Message opened shows time 19:22 ! Message printed shows time 19:22. But when printed some months ago, it showed 18:22 ! Three different times. Can someone explain the variations? The .EML shows "Date: Mon, 8 Jun 2020 19:22:29 +0100". Thanks. Last edited by chrisjj : 26 Mar 2025 at 06:08 AM. |

If I were to make an off-the-cuff guess, it might be a glitch related to changing to Daylight Saving Time?

19h20 is probably 19:22 rounded to the nearest multiple of 10 minutes, since they probably believe that people are not really interested in the exact minute the email was sent or received (and are also not interested in the fact that it was actually sent 29 seconds after 19:22)
19:22:29 +0100 is 18:22:29 UTC. So it may have been 19:22 is summer daylight savings time in Greenwich, UK. |
