Hi everyone!

My answer (sorry: question) is:

Can I put an image into my signature?

Thanks in advance.

(sorry, Artani24, but I don't know the answer/question to your question/answer. I'm sure somebody here on EMD knows.)

Hi, Artan. No, at this time you can not put a photo (or HTML) in your signature. My guess is that this might be improved in the future.

Wondering if there's a way to add an image file to our signatures yet?

Thanks!

Yes, HTML signature support was added quite a while back. You can insert signatures with formatting (bold, colors, etc.) and images from a URL (from your Fastmail Files store, for example). See this post and thread.

Hi Bill,

My problem was that I was still using the old interface.

Thanks again for your help!

Is it possible to have embedded images within signatures?

When I click the "insert/edit image" icon in rich text compose mode, there's gibberish (latin? italian?) in the preview panel that can't be removed.

You cannot embedded image in fastmail signatures. You can, however reference an image that is stored in your file space that you make public, or that is stored on another server.

After having an image in my email for years, I finally decided that it was better not to. Embedding an image causes all messages I send to look like they have attachments. Makes it look that way to my friends who receive my email too...

HTML signatures always prompt a user, "This message contains external images, do you want to display the images?"

I'm not seeing either of these problems with images in my email signatures. I'm using a simple img tag with an href that points to an image on my public files site.

Hi Duke,

Here's my signature value copied verbatim. Note that my attempt to create a signature that operates as a link to our website does not work, but the use of an image in my signature works great.

HTML Code:
<p style="font-family: arial; font-size: 10pt;">
<br/>
--<br/>
Malcolm Greene, CTO<br/>
AwarePro, Inc.<br/>
116 Research Drive<br/>
Bethlehem, PA 18015<br/>
www.awarepro.com<br/>
<br/>
</p>
<p>
<a href="www.awarepro.com"><img src="http://sales_info.imap-mail.com/awarepro-blue-256.png" border="0"/></a>
</p>
In order to configure HTML signatures, I had to choose the new user interface via the Options/Account Preferences screen. I also had to upload my company's logo to my public Fastmail Files folder. Although, if you have a separate website you could reference your image file via another (non-Fastmail Files folder) URL.

I hope this helps. Post back if you continue to have problems.
