Yes it is. Note that I didn't just happen to find it was back, but instead FM Support told me it had come back, in the bug report I had with them about this.

Indeed, I had found that the system font choice was activated for me! I had chosen to endure Proxima Nova until the production change. All of a sudden, I noticed my font had changed ; this was what happened in the switch TO Proxima Nova, too ! It was a reminder that I hadn't been imagining things! Very conspicuous.

I was told to come here and post about this particular font. I don't know if it can be added to the Fastmail interface, or if we can be allowed to choose our own. I have some macular degeneration now in my oldish eyes and here's how I can read for hours with no eyestrain:

1. Dark grey background with light grey text (white text is too bright)
2. Martel font. --- I've found this font extremely easy on the eyes and easy to read, especially if you can enlargen it.

I read reddit for hours and have changed everything I can to Martel now because it looks so good and is so readable.

My two cents. Thanks!

Somebody got bored in lockdown and started pulling up ancient posts

Is the second one even true?! The one where she photocopied the disk every single day! That's too funny and I'll bet it is since I knew people who did stuff like this. Mostly, I remember they used their CD players as coffee cup holders. It's built in!

Here's a link to the Martel font:

What do you think? It looks good to me.

I just learned that this is not the font Gankaku has been using.

Did you mean that? In an earlier post, Gankaku wrote that it was the font.

In this thread Gankaku wrote about Martel, not Martel Sans (see his post #108).

That's right, it's Martel, not Martel Sans. I was under the impression that Gankaku meant Martel Sans. That was my mistake.

The one in this was sans. The very readable one I use is this Martel Regular in this link:
https://www.wfonts.com/font/martel

Thanks for asking me to post it, chickadee.
