Spymac 4

Spymac seems to be upgrading it service providing 9 GB of space to its paid users.

Coming soon, all members will receive 1 GB of web site storage, 1 GB of Gallery space and maintain their 1 GB e-mail. Club members get 3 times that amount -- 9 GB of space in total -- with 3 GB e-mail, 3 GB Gallery space and 3 GB of online storage.

This is the text from a message I have received. It seems they think I am pre-registered but I have not done it. Anyway, the benefits for pre-registering are:
Quote:
For pre-registering, you will receive:

(1) Trial period: A no-obligation, risk-free way to try out Club during its opening month. Cancel instantly anytime in September for a refund by simply clicking a button within your account.

(2) Early entrance: Skip the lines and see Spymac 4 before everyone else. We will e-mail you to let you know when the backstage doors open.

(3) Three months free: Instead of just 12 months, your $25 will reward you with 15 months of extended access.

(4) Founding Member status: We are continually searching for ways to minimize the distinction between committed users and owners of Spymac. By pre-registering, you will receive Founding Member status, which automatically puts you at the forefront of any such endeavors. We will be inviting Founding Members to try out new Spymac services before they are released and will be holding special Founding Member events throughout the year. Founding Members even get an exclusive badge above their avatar.
If I am not wrong, it seems that, when registering, you should pay for all one year and you will receive 3 months free.

But the first trial month must be paid before for one full year. If you are not satisfied, the money will be returned. In my opinion, a better option should be offering a real one free month for all previous Spymac users and pre-registered people and, after that, asking for a paid account.

I remember when actual Spymac version was released all the problems most users experienced. Servers down for several weeks, lots of connection errors, lots of mail messages lost and so on. And then they only offered a part of the storage space offered actually.

Also, 25$ yearly is, IMHO, very expensive. Storage is not the only reason the get an email account and Spymac seems to be offering only storage (mail, web and image sharing).
