I haven't used it in over a decade. Gave up due to endless spam. Maybe today's Yahoo is better?

I use it, it does the job. It's my go to and main email service right now. I have two accounts, one yahoo.com, the other yahoo.com.ph.
I access Yahoo Mail with Claws Mail using POP3 protocol and the Yahoo Mail for Android app. I rarely use the Browser interface. I don't see a very much spam. That said, my biggest complaint with Yahoo! Mail is it puts a lot of legit email in spam, an almost daily occurrence. I use Yahoo mail app to check Spam folder and use the useless "Not Spam" option to move them to the Inbox. I say useless because "Not Spam" does not appear to do anything other that move them to the Inbox. Outside of this I am satisfied with Yahoo Mail. Addendum: To use POP3 with a third party client you need to setup an App Password. |

Yahoo is now simply a reminiscence for the early days of the internet, when I used it for Y! Messenger.

I still own a yahoo account, plus another 1 aol account that also uses yahoo backend. They're fine for everyday use. Can't set app password on yahoo though, always error while i can set app password on aol. Been using aol as my contact and calendar provider via caldav and carddav.

I believe signing in with username and password is still popular. I am only minimally aware of the idea of signing in to email account with mobile number. I am not completey sure how it works. I may confuse this with 2 factor authentication. |
