The annoying thing is I need to use it for business purposes. I have worked around it,but this is ridiculous. I will have to think about what to do. FM really are not fit for business purposes. They should stop advertising it as such.

From the status site:
Login & sessions 28 Jul 2016 09:16:33 UTC (about 15 minutes ago) Ok, logins failing across the board right now. Your mail is fine. We're working on it. Login & sessions 28 Jul 2016 08:59:05 UTC (about half an hour ago) Logins are taking some time to complete while a database index is updating. Should be back to normal in a few minutes. |

Is your workaround another method for logging into FM or have you simply used another provider ? |

Luxsci rarely if ever have this. The indexing should have been scheduled for a time that is not peak business time, perhaps on a Sunday afternoon or night, and should have been announced as far in advance as possible. FM are Real Jokers. Used another provider. There is no way to log in at FM right now. |

I cannot imagine this is a planned outage. It seems likely that the inadequately tested new security features necessitated some emergency changes resulting in the problem.
I agree with the comment that those using Fastmail for business purposes may need to reconsider their position. The Fastmail infrastructure is excellent, but the company attitude is increasingly cavalier and lacking appreciation of the practicalities of mission critical email services. |

Still doesn't work for me, the page endlessly tries to refresh (it shows the scrolling blue vertical lines) but never displays email.

We have at least one user still unable to sign in, too. Tried the obvious, even resetting the password, but no luck so far. Fortunately, they seem to be the only one, however it's the business' primary account. I can access their account through the admin panel though, resorting to setting up forwarding until they can get back in.
