https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1017517 For the Junk folder, you need to do the same thing in "Server Settings > Junk Settings". Do all of this after you have done what BritTim suggests. ie. Go to "Server Settings > Advanced (button)" and enter INBOX. in capitals in the "IMAP server directory box" (in capitals and including the full stop/period). It may take a while to update. You shouldn't need to re-set up the account if you do this. Last edited by Adrian Bell : 9 Dec 2014 at 08:17 PM. |

No more than any other. For instance with Gmail you need to enter the root folder as [Gmail] in order to get the folders to line up (although most people probably don't bother). At least Fastmail has an alternative port where you don't need to do this. You haven't used it in Thunderbird that's all. Fastmail and Thunderbird have more options, that's good isn't it?
The problem of picking the wrong "Sent" etc. folders is common to a lot of email clients. Some (eg. the Android email client) don't let you change them. |
