Settings issue FM

In settings, changing text to large even when saved is only retained by means of a cookie it seems, why cannot this be a permanent setting within settings and no need for a cookie?

Thanks

They also use a cookie for the snooze box thing, so when you delete your cookie the date you have set it to vanishes.....stupid idea it needs to be pinned in some way.

I don't use it at all now because I usually delete my cookies once a week.

There is a decent case for controlling text size using cookies. This is because people often want different text sizes on their different devices. This is difficult to deal with via settings on the account. Fastmail was probably also motivated to handle it that way because some other settings (such as persistent login) were already managed using cookies. Perhaps, there could be an option "fixed text size on all devices" or something to provide a different solution for those who do not want Fastmail to use persistent cookies.
