Chat using own domain alias

I love the ability to have a separate login name from my actual e-mail address with fastmail. However, if I want to use the chat server/jabber, I must use my actual fastmail username. I don't give this username out, as I use my own domain through an enhanced account....I also like having everything under my own domain.

I would like to request that I be able to login, chat with friends, etc. under an alias from a domain that I own. For example, john@example.com would be able to use the jabber service offered.

This would be a really great feature. From what I understand, you can do it with a business or family account; just not with the personal.

Really? That is nice that it has been already implemented. I would like to request this feature be ported over to the individual accounts then.

It seems silly that a family/business account user can take advantage of this feature, yet an individual cannot.

You have to use a login account to register on the chat server. So when one uses their own user@example.com to log on, they are using an actual account they have set up under the family/business, not an alias. You can't login using an alias.
